Social Media Assistant
The Role
The Social Media Assistant supports our online presence by creating, editing, and managing visual content across our social platforms. This role focuses on short-form video content, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and community engagement, while following clear brand guidelines and direction.
Key Responsibilities
Create and edit short-form photo and video content for social media platforms
Capture photos and videos of décor, products, behind-the-scenes work, and more
Support social media activity including content research and community interaction while staying on brand
Skills & Requirements
Proven ability to create and edit short-form content suitable for social platforms
Strong attention to detail and visual quality, and ability to work independently
Comfortable following brand guidelines and creative direction
Client- and community-friendly in written and online interactions
Organized and able to manage digital content files
Candidates should be familiar with:
Design & Editing: Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, Canva, CapCut
Platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest
Filming & Content Capture
Comfortable filming content using mobile phones, DSLR cameras, and handheld gimbal cameras (e.g., Osmo Pocket)
Able to independently capture clear, usable photo and video content
Must be comfortable being in front of the camera and be shown on our posts.
Operational Support
Assist with light warehouse organization and decor set up
Support ad-hoc requests related to content, products, or operations
Ability to design on Cricut Design Space and Silhouette Studio
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Ability to identify emerging décor trends or effective short-form video formats
Familiarity with South Asian décor styles, themes, or event aesthetics
Schedule, Location, and Wage
12 hours per week, with room to extend to 18 in the future
In-person work required on Sundays for approximately 6 hours, depending on needs
Remote work and flexible scheduling is available for days outside of Sunday. However, in-person is required

$17.60 CAD per hour
